MY VALUES
I gave the opening speech on 9 June 2023 at the second NRG Conference held in Doncaster. I outlined my values and where we can go as a region, not just in the North, but in South Yorkshire.
We need to smash the shackles of socialism. We need to reject Labour’s victim mentality that has held us back for so long. We should believe in ourselves and that we can achieve great things.
I look forward to the future with a sense of optimism. We can change our city and our future for the better. Thanks to devolution, the powers and funds are in our hands. Labour has held power locally now at Doncaster Council for some years. Over 55 years in fact.
It is time for a change. We can do so much better.
